Day: 1 - Leh
The fusion of thrill and calming experiences begins from the high-altitude city, Leh. You will be escorted from the Leh airport to a pre-booked hotel. Day 1 is reserved for rest and acclimatization. Before you get lured to the place, you are expected to prepare your muscles to peddle at a height of more than 3500 meters. Therefore, apart from chatting with the group members, only a few activities are reserved for the first day of the tour.
The tour begins with an acclimatization ride to the nearby markets. The early afternoon ride is a great chance to do some souvenir shopping. While strolling around the town, you can find some amazing bazaars to discover the unique skills of the local artisans. Day: 2 Leh
The gradual acclimatization involves exploring some of the nearby tourist hotspots such as Leh Palace, Leh Mosque and Shanti Stupa. Day: 3 Leh- Stok Palace- Spituk Monastery –Leh
On this Leh cycle tour, you get to witness how glorious was life for the Namgyal Dynasty of Ladakh. After breakfast, we will turn our handlebars towards the south to visit a nearby attraction, Stok Palace which was the summer home for Namgyal rulers. The magnificent structure is now turned into a heritage hotel and but the residential part is still open tothe public, so we won’t miss the chance to tour the royal residence.
The snug abode of the royals is just 15 kms far from the Leh town, which makes the ride quite easy and pleasant. Although, you can still experience the adrenaline-rushing adventure when we head towards Spituk Monastery after taking a tour of the palace. The beautiful monastery is situated on a hilltop which offers plenty of chances to explore the staggering excellence of the hilly terrains. Although the trails are smooth, the experience of biking all the way to Spituk Monastery depends on your core strength. The view from the top never fails to impress the bikers. Day: 4 Leh - Shey - Thiksey - Hemis – Leh

The untamed Ladakh culture is explored on day 4 when we start touring the most unexplored villages around the most popular monasteries. Day: 5 Leh – Alchi
Apart from the barren mountains, the first thing that comes to mind is the sparkling rivers of the Leh-Ladakh region. Day 5 is dedicated to soaking in the azure beauty of the Indus river. After breakfast, we will experience the thrilling river rafting at one of the best stretches in Ladakh. After which we will back on the road and peddle towards the Alchi monastery which dates back to thousand years. The real essence of religious learning in a barren desert can be experienced at Alchi village. It features the oldest surviving splendid wall paintings. The workmanship of the monuments here is truly a delight to the eyes. The main attraction of this monastery is the wall paintings that combine both Buddhist and Kashmiri styles. After admiring the lavish woodwork and sculpting at the monastery, we will have dinner and retire for the night in Alchi.

Day: 6 Alchi – Lamayuru- Alchi

Day: 7 Alchi – Rizong – Leh
The high altitude desert is dotted with so many ancient and beautiful monasteries. The rich Buddhist culture is preserved in these monasteries that are worth a visit. Here you can witness the enchanting heritage and culture of the region. These monasteries are mostly located on a hilltop, giving a spectacular view of the surroundings. To be awed by the valley views one more time, we will be heading towards the west and visiting the Rizong Monastery. It is a fine example of architecture and sculpture. Built in 1831, the splendid monastery is adorned with beautiful mountain terrains.
The monastery is home to 40 monks that are renowned for abiding by the strict rules and regulations at the complex. They are allowed to own nothing except books. The wall paintings, murals and exquisite art at the complex can make anyone fall in love with the craftsmanship. The strict discipline at the complex creates a perfect paradise for meditation. The rocky area makes the bike ride slightly adventurous. Therefore, on our way back to the hotel, we will cover the distance through our backup saddle.

Day: 8 Leh – Khardung La – Leh
Khardung La is recognized as the world’s highest motorable road. The pass is merely 40 kms away from Leh but there is a massive difference in altitude. Leh town is situated at a height of 3500 meters whereas to reach Khardung La we have to gain a height of more than 1800 meters. Isn’t it enticing enough for the adventurous souls? Contrary to the previous days of comfort and fun, this day is going to be super challenging in terms of riding a bike. It is the ultimate destination to experience thrill. Khardung La has something unique which can’t be witnessed during other bike trips in India. It features the most challenging, rocky, sloppy yet picturesque hairpin bends. The higher elevation can expose your physical and mental strength, but the views are adrenaline-rush-worthy.

Day: 9 Leh – Tour Ends

The snow-covered mountains are perfectly witnessed from Leh which is a serene town nestled between the Karakoram and the Himalayan range.
