Day: 1 - Arrival

After your arrival at the Goa international airport, you will be escorted to a pre booked hotel at the calm Cavelossim village. Day 1 is entirely dedicated to rest and leisure. Although the bikes will be handed over to the guests, so if you wish to sway in the sea breeze, we can go for a quick spin. Spending some time amidst the sound of the lapping waves would be helpful in getting a hang of your bike. At this point, any adjustments can be done to the bike if needed. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Cavelossim.

Day: 2 Local Sightseeing

The second day of the tour is reserved for sightseeing the lush green country-side. The treasure-trove includes a circular route to cover all of the major attractions in the south goa, namely Fartrade, Pedda, Benaulim, Varca, Orlimand and Carmona. It’s a warm up cycling day, so most of the trails are on flat terrains. Day 2 is the official kick start of the bike tour, so we would cover only a short distance of 30 kms before coming back to Cavelossim for an overnight stay. While exploring the softer, gentler and calmer side of Goa, we cover plenty of pit stops around the palm-fringed long stretches of golden beaches. On these occasional stops, we make sure that you get the true taste of the cultural synthesis. Be it the lip-smacking midway lunch or the fresh coconut water, the trip to a nearby village would offer a handful of offbeat Goan experiences.

Day: 3 Northern Goa sightseeing

Day 3 is nothing less than a dreamy bike trip. After breakfast, you will be engaged in a day full of encounters with serene beauty. We will point the handlebars towards the northern side of Goa and explore Carmona, Orlim, Varca, Benaulim, Colva, Betalbatim, Majorda, Cansaulim and Velsao. The stroll around these hotspots is filled with unsurpassed beauty. The entire stretch is adjacent to the shoreline, which indeed is perfect to create a soothing experience. The continuous sound of waves would trigger a soothing experience.

On one hand, the lapping waves would ease your travel fatigue, while on the other side of the bike trails, the vibrant smiles of the beach villagers would instil your heart with warmth. Day: 4 Leisure day

The itinerary also includes a day’s break where guests can be on their own. After cycling for three days in a row, anyone can be familiar with the neighbourhood. This offers an exciting opportunity to either revisit any of the places that sparked interest in you or you can stroll around and explore the nearby markets. If you want to immerse yourself in interesting history and architectural beauty, you can make the most out of your leisure break and visit Margao which is one of the oldest settlements in Goa. The quietly resting village features Portuguese built churches. Additionally, the authentic taste of the Margao curry attracts a lot of tourists. To transform your leisure day into an adventure and history journey, you can also take a tour of the House of the Seven Gables. The Portuguese colonial mansion was built in the late 17th century. It is a well-known landmark of Margao. Besides, the local fish market and spice market are adequate to grab your attention. After a leisurely break from pedalling, you will be back in Cavelossim for dinner.

Day: 5 Cavelossim-Old Goa – Panaji

On day 5, a few panoramic vantage points await your arrivals. The energy you revived from a day’s break is now put to test when a few hillocks become part of your bike trails. We will leave Cavelossim and head towards old Goa. It was the colonial capital of the Portuguese and reckoned as the Rome of the East. The remains of the old city are beautifully preserved and most of them are acclaimed UNESCO world heritage sites. A tour of Old Goa would be incomplete without admiring the renaissance architecture at Basilica of Bom Jesus, St. Augustine ruins, Reis Magos Fort, Se Cathedral, and the best kept secret, the Divar island. After soaking in the unrivalled views of the Goan skies from here, we will hit the roads and travel to Panaji. Old Goa is a perfect hideout from the chaos of life, whereas Panaji is home to colourful villages exuding the flamboyant Portuguese Baroque style. Day: 6 Panaji – Fort Aguada – Anjuna – Mandrem

As you know the itinerary for day 6 is quite long, however, if you wish to explore Panaji we can start the day early and cover some of the tourist hotspots before leaving. For a vibrant and visually incredible start of the day, we will take a ferry ride to reach Fort Aguada which was the most prized and chief defence of the Portuguese. Strategically located on the Mandovi river, the 17th century fort still attracts tourists from across the globe. It would take you around two hours to immerse in the beauty of this historic fort. From here, we will bike towards the humdrum of the most popular beaches in Goa, like Calangute, Candolim and Anjuna.

The lively beaches and happening tourist markets are the attraction at these places. The wonderful backdrop of the Arabian sea creates a stunning façade to the bustling market, where you can find everything ranging from clothes, bags, and footwear to jewelry. We are sure that you will find plenty of souvenirs from the Anjuna market to take home. After a surreal experience at the busiest beaches of Goa, we will ride further to reach our destination for the day, i.e. Mandrem. We will call it a day after reaching Mandrem and checking in at one of the beach resorts.

Day: 7 Mandrem – Tiracol Fort – Mandrem

The coastal village Mandrem is a tranquilhaven for those who are seeking a perfect hideout. Although the number of beach shacks here is quite lesser, the region is dotted with opportunities to amaze your senses. For instance, you can have a sip of the local brew called Feni. After spinning around Mandrem, we will head towards the border of Goa and Maharashtra to enjoy the kaleidoscopic view from the Tiracol Fort. The Maratha fortification is now converted into a hotel and attracts tourists all year round. Here you get to experience the splendid looking cliffs of waves lined with the shores of the Arabian Sea. We then head back on our bikes and ride back towards Goa for dinner and overnight stay at Mandrem.

Day: 8 Mandrem – Cavelossim

For a true sense of adventurous cycling in India, we would cover the most fascinating and challenging bike trails to head back to South Goa. The long day ahead tests your pedalling power as the distance from Mandrem to Cavelossim is more than 70kms. Additionally, there will be some rough patches at a few hillocks during our journey back to Cavelossim. It is going to be a great experience for biking enthusiasts. However, if you can’t push yourself to the limits, you can always stop peddling and get into the backup vehicle. It would be an easy way to revisit the attractions and amaze your senses. After a long day of biking, we will back to Cavelossim for an overnight stay.

Day: 9 Cavelossim - Shree - Chandreshwar temple - Chandor–Cavelossim

We will have a fun and active start to Day 9 by exploring the uphill routes. We will be heading towards one of the oldest temples in East Goa. On our way to the temple, we will witness nature’s delight in the form of an ascending bike trail. Reaching the top is surely a rewarding experience, as the view from the temple is splendid. After the temple visit, we will turn our handlebars towards Chandor to explore a few more sites of historic interest. The trip to Menezes Braganza House becomes even more entertaining due to the storytellers we found at this ancient mansion, which is now converted into a museum. After exploring the rich history and culture at varied sites in Chandor, we will ride back and reach Cavelossim for an overnight stay.

Day: 10 Cavelossim – Cabo De Rama –Palolem

The day is dedicated to witnessing the undisturbed views of the Arabian Sea. Our first stop for the day is Cabo De Rama, which has legends dated back to Epic Ramayana. It was believed that Lord Rama stayed here for some time during their 14 years of exile. Later, it is converted into a Portuguese Fort, with a church that is still beautifully preserved. Then we will ride towards the nice, clean and tranquil Palolem beach. It is also our destination for an overnight stay.
