Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Delhi

Arrival at Delhi International Airport, transfer to pre-booked hotel. Day reserved for relaxation to prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Delhi Sightseeing

Guided tour of Delhi including Old Delhi, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, India Gate, Lotus Temple, and more. Evening return to hotel.

Day 3 – Delhi to Rishikesh

Travel via train to Haridwar, then drive 25 km to Rishikesh. Short bike ride in the evening to familiarize with the bicycles and trails.

Day 4 – Rishikesh to Tehri (≈75 km)

Official start of cycling tour. Pedal to Tehri, enjoying the scenic foothills and Bhagirathi river valley. Backup vehicle available if needed.

Day 5 – Tehri to Dharasu (≈66 km)

Cycle through riverside trails to Dharasu, a key route connecting Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Overnight camping in tents amidst serene surroundings.

Day 6 – Dharasu to Uttarkashi (≈32 km)

Cycle through villages and scenic landscapes to reach Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath temple in the evening.

Day 7 – Uttarkashi to Bhatwari (≈32 km)

Cycle towards Bhatwari with snow-clad peaks in the backdrop. Witness ShankhDhara waterfall and scenic villages en-route. Overnight camping.

Day 8 – Bhatwari to Harsil (≈43 km)

Cross Sukhhi Top with challenging hairpins. Experience tranquil Bhagirathi river and apple orchards. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 – Harsil to Gangotri (≈30 km)

Explore the divine Gangotri, one of Char Dham. Ride along scenic Himalayan trails, visit Gangotri Temple and surroundings.

Day 10 – Gangotri to Gangnani (≈50 km)

Cycle to Gangnani with serene hot springs and peaceful camping amidst scenic Himalayan landscapes.

Day 11 – Gangnani to Uttarkashi (≈50 km)

Nestled in the foothills of the grand Himalayas, the Garhwal region is full of surprises. Apart from the scenic beauty and pleasant weather, it’s the simplicity of living and serene spirituality that attract peace-seeking tourists. A quaint getaway in the surreal lands is best explored with close encounters of the rustic charm. To witness the cultural ethos, we will make plenty of stops to connect with the locals at different hamlets like Sungar, Kunjan, Pala Maradi, Dwari, Pahi, Janak, and Maneri.

On our way back to Uttarkashi, most of the routes are downhills rides offering abundant opportunities to make a stop and capture the majestic beauty in the camera lenses. After covering the 50 km of distance to Uttarkashi in a leisurely mode, we will reach our destination for the night. Before heading back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, we will take a spin around to catch glimpses of the old-world charms at Uttarkashi.

Activities: Cycling through scenic routes, passing villages like Sungar, Kunjan, Pala Maradi, Dwari, Pahi, Janak, and Maneri.

Day 12 – Uttarkashi to rahmkhal (≈40 km)

Yet another day of cycling in India that is full of adventures and serenity. After breakfast, we will bid adieu to the celestial old town of Uttarkashi and turn our handlebars towards Dharasu, but we are not going back to the same destination. Uttarakhand state is full of mesmerizing off-beat destinations, and the next point in our expedition is the stunning Brahmkhal that offers exclusive vantage points as it is situated at a higher altitude. Indeed, we will be gaining 1000 meters of elevation in a single day to reach Brahmkhal, which itself is perfect to raise your adrenaline levels. After pedalling for about 40 km, we will be immersed in the scenic vistas at this beguiling little village. To make the stay rejuvenating, we will have dinner and retire in a tent.

Route: Uttarkashi → Brahmkhal

Activities: Cycling to Brahmkhal, gaining 1000 meters in elevation. Explore the village and its surroundings.

Accommodation: Overnight camping.

Day 13 – Brahmkhal to Barkot (≈50 km)

After breakfast, we will leave the tents early in the morning to head towards another adventurous destination. Barkot is a sleepy town nestled amidst snow-clad peaks. Located at an elevation of 1220 meters, the peaceful hill station is a preferred choice for adventure seekers. Known for trekking excursions, Bandarkot offers undisturbed views of massive Himalayan peaks. Banderpooch Peak is one of them. Apple orchards, calmly whispering the Yamuna river, and chirping birds add to the beauty of the serene destination, Barkot. Perfect for mental bliss, Barkot is tucked on the banks of the Yamuna River.

Route: Brahmkhal → Barkot

Activities: Cycling to Barkot, passing through serene landscapes and apple orchards.

Day 14 – Barkot to Nainbagh (≈50 km)

Now, the river Yamuna will become our partner in the expedition, as from Barkot onwards, we will follow the southerly course of this river. Our next destination is a beautiful hill station tucked quietly amidst the dense oak and rhododendron forests. Just 12 km away from this hill town is the base camp for trekking excursions to the majestic Nag Tibba peaks, which are perched at an elevation of more than 3000 meters. Far from the humdrum of chaotic city life, Nainbagh is a perfect destination to spend some time with yourself. To soak in the peace and tranquillity at this stunning destination, we will stroll around before having dinner. After which, we will be back in our tents for an overnight stay.

Route: Barkot → Nainbagh

Activities: Cycling to Nainbagh, a hill station amidst oak and rhododendron forests. Explore the area and enjoy the tranquility.

Day 15 – Nainbagh to Mussoorie

Mussoorie is the last leg of one of the best bike trips in India. Also known as “Queen of Hills”, Mussoorie is the most popular tourist destination of the Garhwal Himalayan region. Even on the last day of biking, your endurance is put to test because the altitude at Mussoorie is certainly higher than at Nainbagh. Covering the distance of 40 kms is going to be tough, but the glittering destination is surely a rewarding experience. The kaleidoscopic hills at Mussoorie lure visitors from across the globe. It is a colonial hill station widely famous for the undisturbed Himalayan vistas. From nature walk, shopping frenzy to adventure’s haven, Mussoorie has something for everyone. We will carve out enough time to get you into the true Mussoorie spirits by including Kempty Falls, cable car rides, and boat rides.

Route: Nainbagh → Mussoorie

Activities: Final cycling leg to Mussoorie, known as the 'Queen of the Hills'. Visit Kempty Falls, enjoy cable car rides, and explore the local markets.

Accommodation: Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 – Mussoorie to Delhi

The bike tour of the scenic beauty of the Garhwal region ends after two weeks of a blissful expedition. After breakfast, you will be dropped at the Dehradun airport or the railway station, from where you can head back to your onward journey to Delhi and way back home.

Activities: Morning drive to Dehradun Airport or Railway Station. Transfer to Delhi for onward journey.
