Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kochi

Arrive at Cochin International Airport where our guides greet you and transfer you to a hotel in Fort Kochi. After lunch and introductions, collect and test your bikes. Explore the heritage lanes lined with Portuguese, Dutch and British architecture. Visit St. Francis Church, the burial site of Vasco da Gama, stroll the Jewish markets, and watch the iconic Chinese fishing nets at sunset.

Day 2: Kochi – Thattekad

Pedal 60 km northeast through coconut plantations and tropical forests to Thattekad, home to the renowned Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Spot exotic birds like Indian Pitta, blue kingfisher, and emerald dove—or simply enjoy the tranquil village life.

Day 3: Thattekad – Munnar

A challenging 50 km climb leads to the misty tea plantations of Munnar, set 1,500 m above sea level. The first 15 km is easy; from Neriamangalam, the uphill ride begins. Capture endless vistas of the Western Ghats and rolling valleys.

Day 4: Munnar Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing: explore Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr) and the ancient rock paintings and dolmens of Marayoor’s sandalwood forests.

Day 5: Munnar – Periyar

Cycle 100 km through rolling hills, tea and cardamom plantations, and cloud-laden viewpoints like Lockhart Gap. Stop at Anaerangal Lake before reaching Periyar, famous for its tiger reserve and spice plantations. Optional wildlife safari included.

Day 6: Periyar – Vagamon

Day 7: Vagamon – Kumarakom

Day 8: Kumarakom – Alleppey

Day 9: Alleppey

Cycle 30 km through Vembanad Lake, Kuppappuram, and Chennamkary. Visit Chavara Shrine with its 250-year-old beacon and enjoy village encounters among paddy fields and coconut groves.
